"My Facebook Ladies that are family, friends and are 50 or older, I did something that I have wanted to do for the past 21 years. I saw a friends glamour shots (pictures) that she had hanging in her living room, but anyone that knows me knows I wanted to go one step further. I took the bold and scary move and did a boudoir photo shoot. Yes with my favorite Photographer JR Robinson, he and his daughter Jazz took our GGG pictures last year. I am JR’s over 50 test subject. JR and I have been talking about doing this type of photo shoot since he took a class at his photography conference last year. I was so nervous, scared & excited all at the same time because some of the outfits were boudoir(what can I say).
I took a couple of my sister/friends with to help with my outfits!
I must say that once I got started the nerves & scariness disappeared and I was just left with the excitement. I have to admit it was so much fun, that I want all my other fabulous, sensual and over 50 friends to do this for themselves and/or for that someone special. I’m all about feeling good about oneself, we don’t have to be 36 24 36 or be under 30 to be about having fun and excitement in our life. Life is to be lived and lived well. We should love ourselves with or without a man or woman to validate us-so this was my “feeling good about myself” photo shoot and I’m sharing a couple of the pictures my friends took for me during the shoot for you to see your girl!!!!
I know some may not approve and that’s okay, everyone has a right to their opinion but this was about me and for me. This was my celebration of being 71, sexy & sassy and if you don’t approve just swipe right on past me!"
