Why A Boudoir Photo Shoot
I started out as an events photographer specializing in weddings, birthday, retirement parties and fund raisers. I was subsequently approached by Ms. Audrey who wanted to know if I would do a Lingerie shoot with her. To my surprise, she informed me that she had spoken with my wife and received the ok. Until this point, the only experience I had with Boudoirs or Lingerie shoots was participation in a Lingerie workshop at a Photography convention in Nashville, Tenn.
Later, my daughter, who is also a professional photographer and works with me, informed me that several other women had inquired about a Lingerie shoot.
Our Lingerie shoots are done in a respectful and tasteful manner. I tell ladies who express discomfort with being seen in lingerie by someone other than their husband or lover that our photos show only body parts that would be visible if they were wearing a bathing suit.
When asked why they wanted to do a Lingerie shoot, I receive the following responses: I want to feel sexy; I want to feel beautiful; it’s something I always wanted to do; and I want to give this to my husband and/or boyfriend as a gift.
